Ewan McGregor SAVES THE DAY

Following a debacle of various other actors and one director who didn’t want to be involved, Bradley Cooper also left the Natalie Portman-produced project “Jane Get Your Gun.” For a while it seemed like no one wanted to make this movie. But now Ewan McGregor has parachuted in to save the day, taking Bradley Cooper’s proposed role of Natalie Portman’s criminal gang-leader husband.

While McGregor seems far too nice for the part, at long last “Jane Get Your Gun” can start shooting (via Deadline).

And as for The Coop he’s got Steven Spielberg to agree to direct him in “American Sniper,” a film about the life of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle who had the dubious cume of 160 kills achieved during his tours of duty in Iraq. This earned Kyle the nickname “the Devil of Ramadi” from insurgent leaders. Kyle was recently shot and killed in a bizarre incident at a shooting range back home. Cooper’s production company bought the rights to Kyle’s memoir in 2012. Cooper is lined up to play Kyle and he will also be co-producing the project.
