“THIN MAN” remake attracts Eva Green and other top female talent
Since the announcement that “The Thin Man” would be made into a remake, actresses are vying for the marquee role. The notorious 1934 film (cast included Myrna Loy and William Powell) led to one of the first franchises in film history, with six films produced in all.
The role of Nora—she’s the wife of Nick Charles, a gentleman with a penchant for cocktails and an improvising detective—is coveted by Eva Green (pictured; “Dark Shadows”), Amy Adams (“On the road”), Emma Stone (“Gangster Squad”), Carey Mulligan (“Drive”), Rachel Weisz, Kristen Wiig, Emily Blunt and Isla Fisher. That’s a crowded audition room.
Johnny Depp will play Nick. Rob Marshall (“Chicago”) is on board as director.
