Even though the eighth and final season of “Entourage” had left some fans disappointed, the HBO show still retains an ardent cult-like following. And so it is with much glee, in all likelihood, that these fans will welcome the news that the “Entourage” movie project is picking up speed. According to the site Hypable shooting should begin in early 2013.

Yes, “Entourage” fans, the “Entourage” movie will soon be reality. When asked what people should expect of the movie version the producer of the series and the film, Mark Wahlberg, told G.Q. in January, “ … ninety-minute movie of sheer craziness—the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Lose the ladies. Go crazy. Give people what they want.”

Frankly, there’s no cause for hoopla hearing this kind of description, as female characters were central to the series. And to see “Entourage” turned into a “Hangover”-styled balls-out circus isn’t necessarily delightful-sounding. Fortunately, however, most of the subplots from the series will be included in the film. About his character Ari Gold Jeremy Piven had said, “Ari will still be faced with the same dilemma that’s been haunting him: choosing between world domination and preserving his commitment to his wife.” If Ari remains Ari then it’s fine all the same.
