If the name John Patrick Shanley sounds familiar, that’s because you, like many others, saw the play (and the subsequent movie) Doubt some years ago. In the Nineties you saw Moonstruck. All these works were penned by Shanley, whose pen is like a mighty sword. According to todays N.Y. Post, however, Shanley is getting sued by an unknown actress for having caused her physical harm during many an S&M session at his East 18th street home. These sexual shenanigans will likely land the storied scribe in court to defend his honor.
