A cause we can all get behind
“He didn’t own a suit before all this happened. He didn’t have a job. He didn’t have much hope. Then one day he looked in the mirror and saw the most powerful man in the world. The Audacity of Louis Ortiz is a feature length documentary that will follow phone-technician-turned-presidential-impersonator Louis Ortiz through the 2012 presidential election.”
So begins the introduction to the site for The Audacity of Louis Ortiz, an amusing documentary following a latino New York-bound Joe the Plumber by the name of Louis Ortiz who bears an uncanny resemblance to Barack Obama. Filmmaker Ryan Murdock put up a website to both play the trailer for people and raise enough funds to complete the movie. There’s a Kickstarter (a popular funding platform) link and a stated fundraising goal of $25,000.
Audacity mixes comedy with social commentary about a compelling young man who may get to meet the real Obama some day.
