Bin Laden movie in the works

The capture of the century, told on-screen

Kathryn Bigelow (pictured) and Mark Boal–remember those names? Of course you do, it’s the inspiring duo that brought us The Hurt Locker in 2008. They’ve gotten together again for a new project, this time based on the attack, and subsequent taking out, of Osama Bin Laden at his Abbotabad, Pakistan compound. The operation was led by a team of Navy Seal officers, and the film’s script is based on their recounting of the epic tale. Joel Edgerton and Jessica Chastain have so far been cast and the film is planned for a December 19 release (the film will be distributed by Columbia Pictures in the U.S.)
