Apple TV+ Celebrates “PALM ROYALE” with Emmy FYC Screening and Carol Burnett Tribute in Los Angeles

On Thursday, January 15th, Apple TV+ hosted a special Emmy FYC screening, panel discussion, and reception for its acclaimed comedy series “Palm Royale” at the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles.

The evening featured a screening of the season two finale, followed by an exclusive panel conversation for Emmy voters that culminated in a surprise tribute to the legendary Carol Burnett, one of the series’ standout stars.

The tribute brought together an impressive group of industry figures, including Charlize Theron, Vince Gilligan, Rhea Seehorn, Jane Lynch, Bob Odenkirk, and Bob Mackie, all of whom shared heartfelt remarks celebrating Burnett’s enduring influence on comedy and television. The tribute also included special video messages from Michelle Obama, honoring Burnett’s career.

The night concluded with a memorable performance by Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, who sang Burnett’s iconic closing theme, “I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together,” bringing the audience to its feet.

Following the panel, cast members, creatives, and Emmy voters gathered for an outdoor reception at the Saban Media Center.
