Another fine year for world cinema at the Cannes Festival, which has proven, these last few years, why it’s the most prestigious film festival in the world, with a real impact on Oscar winners. “Anora” and “Triangle of Sadness,” which both won the Palme D’Or in Cannes, went on to win prizes at the Oscars. Here’s the list of winners:

Palme D’or: “UN SIMPLE ACCIDENT” (directed by Jafar Panahi)

Grand Prix: “SENTIMENTAL VALUE” (directed by Joachim Trier)

Jury’s prize: “SIRAT” (directed by Oliver Laxe) tied with “SOUND OF FALLING” by Mascha Schilinski

Best actor: Wagner Moura (“THE SECRET AGENT”)

Best actress: Nadia Melliti, “LITTLE SISTER”

Best director: Kleber Mendonca Filho for “THE SECRET AGENT”

Best screenplay: “JEUNES MERES,” directed by Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne

Special prize: “RESURRECTION” directed by Bi Gan
