Nippon festival will open with British-made The Three Musketeers

The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) announced today that The Three Musketeers, by British filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson (pictured; he previously directed Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat), has been selected as the opening film for its 24th edition.

Based on the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, the film is a powerful action adventure update in 3-D starring Logan Lerman, Milla Jovovich, Orland Bloom and Christoph Waltz.

The festival will be held between October 22nd and October 30th in Tokyo.
