Tom Dicillo retrospective at Munich Fest

“Few directors embody the spirit of independent filmmaking like Tom DiCillo.” That phrase was lifted from the Munich Film Festival website today. The venerable, twenty-eight year-old festival has announced a retrospective of Di Cillo’s work, namely, “Johnny Suede” (with Brad Pitt and Catherine Keener), “Living in Oblivion” (with Steve Buscemi) and 2009’s “When you’re strange,” the latest documentary about The Doors, narrated by Johnny Depp.
