British moviegoers demand a refund
“I want a refund” has been the pronouncement of certain British moviegoers after watching the buzz-worthy French ode to Hollywood-era filmmaking The Artist. Apparently they did not realize that the film in question was a silent movie. The funny thing is, the chain of movie theatres concerned, Odeon, actually agreed to the refund, further stating that “The cinema is happy to offer guests a refund on their film choice is they raise concern with a member of staff within ten minutes of the film starting,” this according to a spokesman for the theatre who responded to an inquiry from the Daily Telegraph, one of England’s national dailies.
If you read the coverage by Den of Geeks, a British movies blog, you’ll understand the awe and the pity that some commentators are feeling toward the moviegoers. And that makes two.
