(FROM A PRESS RELEASE) Fandango, the nation’s leading moviegoer destination, announced today it has added four new exhibitors, Muvico, Studio Movie Grill, Krikorian Premiere Theatres and Penn Cinema, to its ever-expanding network of theater chains. The recently-signed agreements will bring Fandango’s state-of-the-art online and mobile ticketing capabilities, including reserved seating and Paperless Mobile Tickets, to an additional 500 screens in nine states (California, Florida, Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Delaware), pushing the company’s theater reach to more than 21,000 screens nationwide.

The four deals follow on the heels of Fandango’s five-year renewal of its long-term relationship with Regal Entertainment Group, the nation’s largest theater circuit, representing 7,367 screens across the country.

“Fandango is the premier online and mobile destination for people who love going to the movies,” says Paul Yanover, President of Fandango. “These new agreements with four of the leading regional exhibitors expand our network of theaters in key markets across the country, providing even more consumers with the most comprehensive ticketing options and tools available, to help them plan the ultimate moviegoing experience.”

With the addition of the new exhibitors, Fandango will offer ticketing for nearly 75 percent of U.S. screens, with expanded footprints in key markets across the country:

Muvico – a nationwide circuit with premium megaplexes in Florida, California and Illinois.
Studio Movie Grill – the pioneer in first-run, dine-in theaters with venues throughout Texas, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina and Arizona.
Krikorian Premiere Theatres – providing state-of-the-art elegance to moviegoers throughout Southern California.
· Penn Cinemas – a family-owned circuit of world-class theaters in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

“We are thrilled to join the Fandango family,“ says Neil F. Bretan, President and CEO of Muvico , “Fandango’s singular ability to reach moviegoers across multiple platforms, along with its extensive affiliate network, makes it the perfect fit for Muvico.”

“Our research showed us that twice as many people visited Fandango than any other site for our movie showtimes,” says Tearlach Hutcheson, director of film of Studio Movie Grill. “Based on our customer demand, Fandango was an obvious move for us to maximize selling tickets online and on mobile devices.”

“Moviegoing is always a premiere event at Krikorian, with the first-class theaters across Southern California,” says Todd Cummings, VP of Operations for Krikorian Premiere Theatres, “and Fandango helps us perfect that moviegoing experience. Their team is on the forefront of theater technology, with their leading mobile apps, site and conveniences, and Fandango stood out for us as an online and mobile partner of choice.”

“Our decision to switch to Fandango for online and mobile ticketing is an important part of providing the high-end service our customers expect from us,” says Penn Ketchum, owner of Penn Cinema Management Co., LLC. “In fact, like many of our decisions, we were greatly influenced by requests and feedback from our customers who told us they wished we would use Fandango. We made the switch and are very happy we did.”

In addition to offering moviegoers more ticketing options across their online and mobile devices, Fandango has been adding more content to its multiple platforms. Over the past few months it has launched two original video series, the Webby Award-nominated “The Frontrunners,” and the recently released “Weekend Ticket,” both hosted by renowned movie expert and Fandango’s Chief Correspondent, Dave Karger. Last week, Fandango launched its first audience-targeted destination called “Summer of Action” (www.fandango.com/summerofaction), featuring exclusive content and advance ticketing for 14 of this summer’s biggest blockbusters, including “Iron Man 3,” “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “Fast & Furious 6,” “Man of Steel,” and “The Lone Ranger.”
